Isaac just never seems to slow down. Much to our chagrin, he just keeps on growing and learning new things. We were discussing the other night how sometimes we wished he had a pause button so we could stop him from growing up. We'd really like to keep him in the stage where he thinks his Mum and Dad (especially his mum;-) are the best thing since pureed spaghetti. Alas, despite all our attempts at slowing him down, Isaac continues to blaze ahead on the road to (gulp) toddlerhood.
Yesterday Isaac really started to stand on his own. Shaun was sitting on the floor with him and Isaac would pull himself to standing on Shaun and then let go to much applause from us. He knew he was doing something pretty amazing because he kept doing it over and over and by the end of it all, when he'd fall over would clap with us at his great success. Moments like that make all the sleepless nights and crabby grocery trips worth it.
