This is what happens when your toddler finds the camera....

So I was downloading the several hundred photos that had backlogged on our camera because I have been too lazy to sit down and do it and found that about 60 of the pictures were taken by our budding little photographer. It looks like little Skinner found the camera in his backpack while on an outing with Daddy. Lately Isaac has been way more interested in taking pictures than being in them, frustrating all my efforts to take a birthday portrait of him. Oh well, at least I have these winners to remember this fun phase of his life!

Welcome Home Sisar!

My beloved sister Janine returned home from her mission in Finland today. We were so escited to meet her at the airport. Isaac asked all day if it was time to go find Auntie Janine at the airport. She looked so great and so happy and I could tell she'd had a very good and successful mission. We're so glad that she was able to serve and that she is home again!

And so the Belly Grows

For all those who are interested in the continued alarming growth of my midsection, here's a picture I took two weeks ago of my belly. It could possibly have doubled in size since then....I'm trying not to look and compare! The other picture is of Isaac giving some idea of how big he thinks my belly is going to get before June.

Fun at Grandmas

We had a really fun easter weekend with cousins and Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma of course had lots of activities planned for the kids, including the easter bunny delivering brand new shovels for all the kids so they could do a little 'rototilling'. It was good fun and we enjoyed celebrating Easter with so many people we love.

Sledding

We've been meaning to take Isaac toboganning all winter and since we just keep getting snow instead of spring we finally took him sledding at our local hill last weekend. He surpassed all my expectations and totally loved it. He is usually a very cautious little fellow and is nervous about trying new things especially when it involves riding down a big bumpy hill very fast. But he was right in there riding from the top with all the big kids. We had such a good time

Laugh Out Loud

So I follow a forum group on Canadian Parents of other mums who are due around the same time as me. It's really nice to share experiences with them and we have a lot of good online snickers. One of the other mums-to-be posted this link for predicting your labour experience. Totally funny! If you are pregnant, or even if you're not it is good for a laugh, check it out.

Here is what Madame Z. had to say about my baby/labour:

The day you deliver, outside will be shiny. Your baby will arrive in the middle of the afternoon. After a labor lasting approximately 19 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 14 pounds, 11 ounces, and will be 21 inches long. This child will have light violet eyes and barely there auburn hair.
Well for starters, this baby is certainly NOT going to be an almost 15 pounder! That would be over double Isaacs' birth weight. I also tend to carry very compactly and I think I would suffocate well before any due date. I guess Madame Z. got my species mixed up and thinks I'm delivering a baby gorilla!
