When we ask if Isaac wants to go outside he first runs to the door and trys to pry it open with his fingers. Then he realizes he needs shoes, so he rounds up the closest pair he can find and attempts to put them on. Isaac's favorite place is outside on his own two feet.
Isaac can say some form of the words: ball, cup, cracker, cheerios, mom, dad, and cheese. He knows how to use his pointer finger and shake his head 'no'. He is very talkative but neither Emily nor I have any idea what he is saying.
When Isaac is trying to decend off of the bed, he slides feet first, on his belly until his feet are dangling about 6 inches off the floor. At this point, he clenches onto the blanket and flails his legs, and calls for help. He must feel like he dangling precariously off the edge of the world, and if dad comes to his rescue, dad tickles his feet until he laughs, looses his grip and slips the last few inches to the floor. Mom is much more compasionate. However, if Isaac is in one of his wild, playful moods, boncing around on the bed, he doesn't think twice about taking a head first leap off the bed. He has been lucky most times to have a mom or dad close enough to grab hold of an ankle before the brick on his shoulders crashes into the floor.
