We spent a great weekend in Waterton for Canada Day and enjoyed a great hike over the Carthew-Alderson Summit. It is not our favorite hike, as their are better view to be had in the area, but it being early in the season, we figured it was the best we could do seeing the amount of snow that is still sround on the mountains. Even climbing up summit, we were climbing through snow most of the way up. Anyone who has hiked through snow can attest that climbing through snow is not the most enjoyable of experiences, especially when the climb is steep. But it all works out in the wash because, of course, coming down through snow is extremely fun!
